Legal Service
Our service provides free legal advice, information and referral for people in the Northern Rivers
We aim to improve access to legal services for the following groups:
- Women
- Welfare recipients
- People with disabilities
- Gay, lesbian and transgender people
- Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people
- People from non – English speaking backgrounds
- Youth and older people
We provide court support at Lismore, Casino and Byron Bay local courts (and other courts by appointment).
Legal Advice 
We will not give advice to:
- Employers in employment matters
- Landlords in tenancy matters
- Defendants in domestic violence matters
Appointments
A client may have up to three free appointments for any one matter.
We have set appointment times at our Lismore office and at outreaches in Murwillumbah, Tweed Heads, Pottsville, and Casino.
We run an evening service at Lismore on Thursdays.
Appointments can be made face to face or for a phone appointment.

Court Support Service
We provide volunteers at Lismore, Byron Bay and Casino local courts on list days to give people attending court information and referrals.
Specialist Court Support volunteers are available to give asistance on a one-to-one basis. This service is provided to people with special neeeds who require assistance when attending court.
