Community Legal Education
We provide legal education sessions to service providers and the community on specific legal issues and the services provided by the legal centre.
In addition to CLE the Northern Rivers Community Legal Centre, in consultation with the community and services, develops projects that will enhance greater understanding of the legal system and participation in decisions that affect particular communities.
Ongoing projects include:
· Youth and Security Guards in Shopping Centres project.
Human Rights Advocacy Training for Schools. 
Recent education sessions include:
· Employment law
· Youth Rights and Responsibilities in Public Places
· Centrelink Appeals
· Same sex parenting
· Changes to the law on Victims Compensation and Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders.

Human Rights Consultation and Education Campaign
On Human Rights Day 2008 the Rudd Government launched its community consultation on how to better protect human rights in Australia. We have the opportunity to secure human rights protections for all Australians. The Northern Rivers Community Legal Centre has launched its own community consultation and education campaign. See the links below for information on how human rights are currently protected in Australia and fill in the survey to let us know what information you need to be informed about this very important issue.
